111SKIN Gold Brightening Facial Treatment Mask Review
09:00
I was so excited to receive this 111SKIN Gold Brightening Facial Treatment Mask in my November Glossybox. Its the most expensive sheet mask I've ever tried, at £20 a mask! So I definitely had high expectations for this mask.
On applying it to my face, it was such a terrible fit and it tore very easily when moving it around my face. Due to the rips I couldn't move too much without it slipping down my face. I ended up keeping it on for around 25 minutes before it began to dry out.
When I took the mask off my skin was slightly sticky but it soaked in after 30 minutes. I don't particularly have sensitive skin so I was surprised to see my skin was a little pink after taking it off. It settled down after an hour or so. My skin felt soft but nothing to drastic happened.
Overall I've been dissapointed in this mask solely due to its poor fit, its the worse fit mask I've tried so far unfortunately. The fact that it tore so easily made the fit much worse too. I wouldn't recommend it for sensitive skin due to the perfumed scent and that it made my skin pink. It did an ok job at brightening my skin but its definitely not worth the £20.

Sometimes those overly-hyped products are not worth it. I heard that the VS models use a gold sheet mask. I don't know, I have mixed feelings about it.

Yeah I wasn't that impressed, I guess what works for one doesn't always work for another x
DeleteThis should've been a great mask if it costs £20! It's one of my pet hates when a sheet mask doesn't fit! xxx

Yeah I had high expectations but unfortunately it wasn't that great x
DeleteThat's too bad this mask was a bit of a miss! Nothing worse than a sheet mask that doesn't fit well.

No problem! x
DeleteI always struggle with the fit of masks like these too! I look at them and wonder how anyone could have a face that would fit such a mask!

Yeah 'one size fits all' certainly doesn't x
DeleteIt's such a shame that this product didn't live up to your expectations. I don't think it would work very well for me either as I have really sensitive skin so I would worry about using it x
ReplyDeleteYeah its such a shame! Yeah I would avoid it if you have sensitive skin x
DeleteI don't think it would work for me either, because I have sensitive skin. Thanks for the honest review.

DeleteI'm always curious about these kind of masks, shame that it didn't work out but at least you didn't buy it for the full price!

Yeah I'm glad I didn't pay £20 x
DeleteThe retail price is quite high for a one time use mask! It's a shame it didn't work. I find it hard to keep sheet masks on too because I find them a bit big for me so it's an effort aligning the eye and mouth spaces! :) xx

Yeah aligning everything can be tricky, this one was terrible when aligning x
DeleteI am sat in a mask as we speak! I actually have this mask but haven't used it yet but your comments were a great guideline for what its like, I may give it a try though!

I hope you had better luck with the mask you were wearing! x
DeleteWhile i do enjoy a good sheet mask that is the part I dislike the most, having to fit them over the face and some while fitting they sit quite awkwardly.
