Maybelline Lash Sensational Rose Gold Edition Mascara Review

I've had the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara on my wishlist for a while now. So when I seen that Superdrug were doing a Rose Gold version I couldn't resist!
I love the rose gold packaging of the mascara! One of the differences with the rose gold edition is the brush as far as I'm aware. Superdrug refers to it as a layer-reveal brush with 6 lengths of bristles to capture the tinest of lashes. I don't think its the best mascara wand but its does an ok job of applying the mascara.
I find the formula of the mascara to be a thin wet consistency. It makes my lashes look quite spidery and not very volumised. I was really disappointed as I expected a much bigger effect. If I were to apply multiple layers my lashes would clump together. I definitely won't repurchase this edition. I'm hoping the original version is better than this, I may give it a try.

Awww. It's sad that it's not as great as you expected it. It's a shame cause the packaging is so cute. I've used Maybelline's Hypercurl and have had no problems with it ever since.

DeleteOmg, I need to grab this (mainly because of the packaging). I found the original to be a bit wet in the beginning, but it did thicken a bit as time went on!

I LOVE the original version- it's my go-to. I rate it higher than the seemingly holy grail mascara (the Diorshow Iconic one) and Benefit rollerlash. I wonder if the formula is different in the rose gold edition? x

ReplyDeleteI tried this mascara recently. Although I naturally have long lashes. It helped make them longer, and fuller. I could honestly say that this 4d fiber mascara is M.A.S.T.E.R.E.D the science of mascara. It not only added the volume I needed, it separated my lash strands, elongated them, didn't burn my eyes and stayed on all day. FINALLY! I'm very excited that I found THE mascara for me. It's been a long time coming. Directions are easy, doesn't take much time to apply, and stays on all day.
