Clarins SOS Primer - Universal Light Review

08:30

I recently got this Clarins SOS Primer in Universal Light from the Feel Unique Pick N Mix selection. I wanted to share my thoughts with you all.

Its only a small sample size, 5ml, but I've been testing it out regularly. The full size is approximately £26.50 for 30ml. It promises to hydrate skin, prolong foundation wear and balance uneven skin tone and texture.

There are different versions of this primer - this version is 00 Universal Light which aims to boost radiance. The other versions are different colours with different purposes:
01 Rose: Diminishes the appearance of fatigue.
02 Peach: Corrects imperfections.
03 Coral: Counteracts the appearance of pigmentation and dark spots.
04 Green: Diffuses the appearance of redness.
05 Lavender: Brightens and balances sallow skin.

This primer is white with a slight glow, it really reminds me of the NYX Born to Glow Primer which I've been using recently. It applies to the skin smoothly, a little really goes a long way! My skin is left feeling glowy and hydrated ready for foundation.

It does make my foundation last most of the day but still wears off by the evening. For the cost I think the NYX Born to Glow Primer is much cheaper alternative which also makes the skin glow. But I'm interested to see how the other versions of this primer perform.

Have you tried this primer?

  1. I had no idea about this primer. I have not tired much from Clarins. I prefer primers that will keep my skin matte for longer period of time. Benefit POREfessional is my favorite but would love to try NYX primer if they have a matte version. :-)
