NYX HD Photogenic Concealer in Shade CW10 Yellow Review

I recently bought this NYX HD Photogenic Concealer in CW10 Yellow from Boots, specifically for under my eyes.
My usual dark circles routine is using the Ben Nye Peach corrector and then applying a concealer. I've never used a yellow concealer before so I thought this would be a good one to try. You can't see how yellow it is through the packaging, it is quite bright yellow, the swatch doesn't do much justice.

After priming, I apply this concealer under my eyes and blend it with my beauty blender. It does brighten under my eyes but doesn't offer much coverage. I prefer the Bourjois Radiance Reveal concealer as it offers more coverage whilst also brightening.
Unfortunately this didn't offer the coverage I was hoping for, but applying it with a different concealer can give me my desired coverage!
What is your go to under eye concealer?

Too bad this one does not give coverage, I haven't tried any other products from NYX than lipsticks, their lipsticks are amazing!

Yeah I'd say it works better as a corrector than a concealer on its own, especially for under eyes. Yeah I really like their lipsticks! x
DeleteI use this concealer for blemishes and really like it! Not the yellow shade though haha! I really like the soap and glory kick ass stick concealer for under my eyes!

Yeah I wonder if their normal concealer has more coverage than the corrector colours? I'll have to try that out! x
DeleteI might like this as I don't need much coverage as I don't have a lot of darkness under my eyes. How's the formula? Thin or thick and does it crease?

I'd say its more thin than thick, it doesn't crease. I have purple/blue darkness under my eyes and this brightens them slightly but I wouldn't go without having my normal concealer. Maybe this could work for you if you don't have purple/blue darkness. x
DeleteIt's a shame this concealer didn't provide the coverage you wanted. I too have been loving the Bourjois Radiance Reveal concealer recently and I also really like Rimmel Wake Me Up x

DeleteI've used 2-3 bottles of this in the past. I really like this concealor but I used it more like a corrector so yes a different concealor would go over it!

DeleteI really love NYX's dark circle concealer in a jar. It actually covers up my dark circles really well. Maybe you could try that instead? Different strokes for different folks :)
