Wedding Planning: Attending the North West Wedding Fair

09:00

So I was lucky enough to win a pair of tickets to the North West Wedding Fair at Event City, Manchester. As this is the biggest wedding fair I've attended I thought I'd do a post about it.

The event was held over two days, Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th September. It is by far the biggest wedding fair I've attended as there was 180 suppliers. They had everything from Benefit beauty masterclasses, catwalks, live music, cake displays and of course local suppliers.
Benefit Beauty Masterclass
During the catwalk it was nice to see such a large array of designs from classic styles to daring numbers. Showcasing outfits for brides, grooms, bridesmaids and even guests.

A balloon down the aisle?
We found so much cake inspiration from the cakes on display. There was everything from contemporary master pieces to simple nude cakes.

One of our favourites
Though if a traditional three tier cake wasn't to your taste, there was options of having a cake pop tower. Which could even be tailored to your colour scheme to impress your guests.

We loved the idea of a cake pop cake alternative
During the whole event, there was always a band playing. We listened to everything from Bach to Beyonce, with some Jazz and Motown in between. It was great being able to listen to all these, and the bands were all local to the North West too!

Overall it was a great event, we discovered so many local suppliers! I would definitely recommend to any future brides/couples/bridal parties to attend this fabulous event if you are local to it (the organisers do run similar ones around the country too)!

  10. I liked reading through this post because I know that planning a wedding is not a kid’s thing. I also had DIY ceremony at one of the destination wedding venues in Bali. I had hard time in finding right vendor but at last it was just fantastic.
