B. Creative, Art Edition Vol.5, Pro Face Kit - Light Review

I picked this, B. Creative, Art Edition Vol.5, Pro Face Kit - Light, up at my local Superdrug recently for only £2.40. I've tried it a few times now and was eager to review it!

The product itself is a similar size to a diary, it opens up and inside there is a mirror facing the products. The products include a pro cream concealer, highlighter, sponge, sheer finish pressed powder and pro cream foundation. It is perfect for travel! The shade I have is light though I could have probably gone with 'light/medium' without it being too dark.

Inside the kit: Pro Cream Concealer, Highlighter, Sponge, Sheer Finish Pressed Powder & Pro Cream Foundation
After applying my primer I applied the foundation from the kit, using my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. The foundation is quite thick so I did struggle to blend it initially. It offers quite buildable coverage without being too cakey. Surprisingly it covered most of the redness across my nose and cheeks, but spots were still slightly visible. Next I applied the concealer using my fingers, the concealer doesn't really offer much coverage for under eyes but it does a good job on redness around my nose. I would probably use a different concealer for more coverage under my eyes.

I lightly applied the powder, as I don't always wear powder due to having dry skin. This finished off the look nicely as I only applied it lightly so it didn't look drying on my face. I applied the highlighter on my brow bone, it gives a quite subtle pink effect, which is nice for an everyday look.

Overall I really like the kit, which surprised me, as I didn't expect much from it due to it being so cheap! I think its perfect for when I travel, though the sponge in it is pretty much useless, so I would definitely take make up brushes with me and a higher coverage concealer. For only £2.40 I can't recommend this enough!

Have you tried this kit before?

  1. I was recently in one team super drug stores I wish I checked it out because for that price it's worth trying them out. Thanks for the review and the kit does look compact enough to travel it.

  4. Hmmm, I'm not too sure about wearing cream foundation, but the idea of everything you need for a base being in one kit sounds lovely! It's got such an adorable packaging, too!

    1. It felt like a normal foundation when blended, I just find it needs more blending than liquid. Yes its great! x

  12. This was one of the very first things I reviewed on my blog, and I've actually never seen anyone else mention it, so it was great to see this review! :)

Personally, this didn't work for me, and I ended up giving it away. I much prefer high-end products (that sounds so snobby, I know!), but I did think this would make for a lovely birthday/Christmas present xx
