W7 Mega Matte Lips Haul & Review

L-R: Sinful, Two Bob, Hasta La Vista, Oddball & Chippie
I feel like everyone is loving matte lip glosses lately so thought I'd try this trend out. Being uncertain as to whether I'd like the matte effect I opted to try the really affordable W7 Mega Matte Lips.

According to the W7 website they are £4.99 each but whenever I see them in a store they are usually priced at £1.99 each. It can be difficult finding different shades in store though. After some searching on Amazon I managed to bag all 5 shades for only £6.98! Such a bargain! The five shades include a nude: Two Bob, a red: Hasta La Vista and three pinkish shades: Chippie, Oddball and Sinful.

I think the packaging is very cute and there's a good 7ml in each tube. When removing the lid there's a vanilla type scent which is quiet pleasant without being too strong. On application I apply just one coat which provides a good enough pigment for my liking, although I'm sure you could add another without flaking. I would say its more of a cream texture than a gloss. Within a few minutes of applying my lips turn matte.

They actually aren't drying at all, they contain coconut oil so I assume this helps the lips maintain moisture. To my surprise even after eating and drinking the lip gloss is still pretty much intact! It lasted around 5 hours before a top up was necessary. Overall I'm really impressed with the Mega Matte Lips range especially for such amazing value!

PS. I'm away until Sunday so there won't be any posts until then.

  1. I haven't checked any w7 products for a long time! These matte liquid lipsticks sound good, most of the matte lipsticks can be drying, good to hear that there aren't drying!

  5. I've tried Hasta La Vista too and it is so good! I was really drawn to the matte lip creams trend after trying some from Manhattan, sadly those have been discontinued, but the W7 ones are really up there too! I wanted to try some of the pink shades from this range and Chippe looks lovely :)
