Pixi Glow Tonic Dupe? Freedom ProStudio Glycolic Glow Tonic Review

07:26

I had been lusting after Pixi Glow Tonic for a while but wasn't sure if it was worth the £18 price tag. But when I seen this, Freedom ProStudio Glycolic Glow Tonic, in my local Superdrug for only £6 I had to have it! I decided to review it.

It appears similar in colour to the Pixi Glow Tonic but contains a smaller amount of product, 150ml compared to Pixi's 200ml. Comparing the ingredients lists, it contains similar ingredients to Pixi, e.g. Glycolic Acid, Aloe Vera and Ginseng. Though Freedom don't actually state how much Glycolic Acid their contains, Pixi's contains 5%.

I can't compare the performance of both the tonics as I only own Freedom's Glow Tonic. I apply the tonic after cleansing each morning to my face and neck using a cotton pad. It instantly feels refreshing on my skin. Whilst also providing a great base for my moisturiser. I've been using it for around 3 weeks now and my skin definitely looks more refreshed and brighter since using it. I haven't experienced any redness or tingling from it either.

For the price I think its a great dupe and definitely worth a go if you're looking for a more affordable version of the Pixi Glow Tonic! I'm definitely going to stick with this one as oppose to the Pixi version!

  5. I own both and I think they perform exactly the same except the Freedom version has a very strong fragrance which is higher on the list of ingredients in comparison but for the price it's a fab alternative like you said xx

  13. I'm onto my 2nd bottle of Pixi Glow Tonic and while I do love it, I'm always happy to try a dupe. The Bravura Ginseng Toner is identical in ingredients and effectiveness. This is an even more affordable option which I'm yet to try xxx
