New Look No Shine Mattifying Foundation in Porcelain Review

08:30

The New Look beauty range has been tempting me so much lately so I decided to buy a few items from it. One of them is this No Shine Mattifying Foundation in the shade Porcelain. I have more dry skin than oily skin but I always find my foundation rubs off my nose. So I thought I'd try something different to see if it improves the longevity on my nose.
The packaging of the foundation is very similar to NARS foundations, simple yet sophisticated, with its glass design and black lid. It also conveniently has a pump to ease application. The foundation is available in five shades: Porcelain, Light Beige, Natural Tan, Rich Tan and Caramel Brown.

I opted for the lightest shade for my pale skin. The foundation promises flawless full matte coverage which lasts all day. After moisturising and priming, I applied this to my skin, it say it offers medium coverage. But as soon as I applied it to my skin it caked up and the foundation separated on my nose instantly.

I'm so disappointed in this foundation. As I really hoped it would help keep the foundation on my nose due to it being mattifying but instead it looked so much worse. Maybe this would work better for different skin types but if you have dry patches and have trouble with foundation rubbing off your nose I'd avoid it.

Do you have problems with foundation rubbing off your nose too? If so, do you have any tips?

  2. I adore New Look for clothes but I've never actually looked at their make-up collection. That said, given your review, I'm probably best avoiding it as I hate cakey foundation!

  5. Too bad this didn't work for you, I am not using a foundation at the moment, I am only using a BB cream but I remember using a few drugstore foundations in the past that did the same thing.

  6. I did not know that new look came up with beauty products. If you are looking for a good matifying skin tin that is lightweight go check the Nars. I absolutely love it but its quite on the pricier side.

  14. Too bad that it didn't work for you! The packaging looks beautiful though. Have you tried Estee Lauder's Double Wear? I recently blogged about it, it's matte and super long lasting:
