Morphe Highlight and Contour Beauty Sponge Review

08:41

I love using blending sponges and I'd heard great things about this Morphe Highlight and Contour Beauty Sponge so thought I'd give it a try.

The shape of the sponge reminds me of the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. Although this has flat edges on both sides. Morphe recommends using this for highlight, contour and baking. But I've heard really good things about using it for liquid foundation so thought I'd try it instead of my usual beauty blender.

Before using the sponge I wet it so it increases in size and softens ready for applying make up. I find it to be firmer than my beautyblender and it doesn't seem to absorb the foundation into the sponge as much. This blends my foundation in so well but I do find it too big to blend the concealer under my eyes so I tend to use a small sponge for concealer. The flat edges and pointy edge makes it great for blending in contouring.

Despite the sponge being red the colour doesn't ever seem to run or fade and I've gone through 3, thats how long I've been meaning to do this review! Since using it I've tried other sponges but always seem to go back to this one.

Have you tried this sponge?

  2. Interesting shape! I haven't tried this one by I've been repurchasing Japonesque Kumadori sponges (they are better than Beauty Blenders)!
